Pan Mass Challenge - Fundraiser
 
Story:
My name is Mike Smith I grew up in Foxboro with Shannon and Todd and have been riding in the Pan Mass Challenge for 6 years. The PMC is the largest fund raiser for the Jimmy Fund and cancer research.

The ride is a 2 day 192 mile event from Sturbridge MA to P-Town. My riding team ROAG (a group of guys from Westford MA and Southern NH) head out to the Mass/NY border the day before the race and start from there, making the ride approximately 300-320 miles. We ride to Sturbridge from the NY border, sleep the night and then ride the 2 day event culminating with a jump into the ocean in P-Town, making it truely a "PAN-MASS-Challenge".

Each year I ride in honor of someone special in my life as well as people in my sponsors' lives. My first ride I rode in honor of my mother who had breast cancer. I'm happy to say she is now a 10 year survivor. This year I'm riding for a close friend and co-worker who also has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
